It has finally happened — I’ve become numb to all the Twitter drama patterns.
People saying they won’t tweet for awhile. Loudly & repeatedly. That boy has cried wolf way too many times…
People twitterciding, and of course, returning. Did you miss me? Does anyone care?
People stealing tweets because, even though they have nothing interesting to say, they prefer stealing for fake appreciation than to not tweet at all.
Monotonous tweeters, beating a topic to death instead of actually tweeting what’s on their minds. You liked it before, don’t you like it now?
Addiction to trophies and stars, only to burn out and attack others chasing the same prize.
It’s all there. Mind you, it’s not all that’s there, but it remains the constant undercurrent of Twitter.
It was bound to happen and it finally has— I’ve become immune to it all.
Now I read it but I just shrug and move on. I no longer care enough to get involved because, although the names might change, the drama doesn’t.
Incidentally, I don’t think people who wrestle with how much of themselves to give to Twitter are all drama queens. I’m simply talking about the people who play these cards in a desperate ploy for attention.
